City of Chicago is joined hands with communities to start a zero waste initiative.

Use the free service, designed by Catalog Choice to cancel specific catalogs and other types of paper mail you no longer wish to receive.

Follow the following steps to use this service.

• Open the following link in any browser on your device: https://chicago.catalogchoice.org/.
• Click the Sign up button in orange color.
• Enter your Email ID, name and password and press Sign Up.
• Check your email account where you will receive an email by Catalog Choice (can be in spam folder)
• Open the email click on “click here to confirm your account” to activate your account. You will be directed to the login page.
• To login to your account, you can write your email ID and password to the page you were directed to. Alternatively you can go to the above link and on the top right, you can click on login button (On mobile phones, there will be a bar and options will appear when you click on the bar. Click on login button) After entering your details, click on the login button.
• Click on “Cancel a Catalog” button and select the paper mail you want to cancel. You can use the alphabets on top row to sort by start letter and the arrow buttons on bottom to go next set of mails. Alternatively, you can use “Search Catalogs” button to search by writing the mail name or a keyword.
• Click on “Opt out of this catalog” button after selecting the mail.
• Select profile, name on the label, address on the label, enter catalog details (skip if you don’t have this information) and select the reason to opt out.
• Click “Confirm” button and you are done.
• You can check your account info, details, donate by going to specific pages on the website. You can access different pages by clicking on the buttons on top right of the website.
